Founded by entrepreneur, art collector, and philanthropist Jennifer Gilbert, Lumana will offer accessible programming and cultural engagement, ensuring the arts remain a vital and shared resource for the community that surrounds it.

Located at Stanton Yards, a new waterfront destination in the heart of Detroit's Little Village cultural corridor, Lumana will be a landmark for artistic exchange and creative enrichment.

The transformation of the former shipyard is being led by acclaimed architects SO-IL, who are shaping Lumana into an inspiring venue for exploration, expression and dialogue. The reimagined 20,000 (tbc) square foot building will include multiple exhibition spaces, an auditorium, bookstore, and café.
